How it works

Press and hold. Let go.

A small light walks a mountain ridge, and the ridge is your breath. Press and hold the screen while you breathe in and while you hold. Let go to breathe out. Breathland keeps count of how closely you keep in step.

  1. Up means breathe in. Press and hold.
  2. Flat means hold. Keep holding.
  3. Down means breathe out. Let go.

Best with sound on and earphones in. Your phone can follow along too, with a soft wave of vibration that quickens as you breathe in and slows as you breathe out.

Ten lands

Each one hand-crafted.

Every land has its own scenery, weather, music and breathing pattern. You start in Dusk Range, and breathing opens the rest. A ridge is one full breath: at about three minutes a day, a new land opens every week or so, and all ten within about two months.

Thirteen patterns

Every breath has a shape.

Each land suggests a pattern, and you can walk any open land with any of them. Here is each one over the same twenty seconds.

The deal

Nothing in the way.

One honest thing. Breathland is a relaxation aid, not medical treatment. If you feel dizzy or short of breath, stop and breathe normally.

Breathland

A calm place to go.

Three minutes a day. That's all it takes.
