Consumer health data notice
Effective 7 November 2026
This notice is for people in US states with consumer health data laws, including Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's SB 370 and Connecticut's consumer health data law. It adds to our privacy policy. Breathland is made by Renaissance Systems, the trading name of Varun Veerbhadra. Contact: hello@accustom.app.
The consumer health data involved
Breathland never asks about your health. But because it records the breathing exercises you do, we treat this as consumer health data:
- Your session history: for each session, the date, land, breathing pattern, length, number of breaths, and how closely you kept in step (your in-step %).
- Your progress: ridges walked, minutes breathed and your streak.
- The breathing pattern you chose. Some are named for what they are for, such as sleep or calm.
Where it comes from, and what it is used for
Only from your use of the app: it records each session as you breathe. It is used only to show your progress and history, keep your streak, open new lands, and keep all of it in step across your phones.
Whether we collect it
Yes. It is kept with your account in Google's Cloud Firestore, and a copy stays on your phone. We collect it only as needed to provide the service you asked for, and keep it until you delete it or your account.
Sharing
We do not sell consumer health data. The only third party that handles it is Google, which stores it for us under a contract that limits it to that. RevenueCat, which checks your subscription, never receives it. We do not use geofencing around any health care provider or facility.
Your rights
You may confirm whether we hold your consumer health data, access it, delete it and withdraw your consent:
- access or export: Preferences, Account & privacy, Export my data;
- delete all of it, and withdraw consent: Preferences, Account & privacy, Delete account and all data;
- delete part of it, such as your session history: write to us.
Or write to hello@accustom.app. We answer within 45 days. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer with “appeal” in the subject; we answer appeals within 45 days, and if you are not satisfied you may contact your state attorney general (in Washington: atg.wa.gov).
